About Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American entrepreneur, business magnate, and inventor. He was the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer (CEO) of Apple Inc., one of the world’s largest technology companies. He also co-founded and served as CEO of Pixar Animation Studios.

Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. He attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, and later dropped out of college after one semester at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He then attended the California Institute of Technology but dropped out again.

In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Computer, Inc. with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. The company’s first computer, the Apple I, was sold as a kit and was not a commercial success. However, their next product, the Apple II, was a huge success and helped establish the personal computer as a major product category.

In the 1980s, Jobs introduced the Macintosh, a computer that featured a graphical user interface, which made it much easier for people to use. The Macintosh was a success, but it was soon surpassed by IBM-compatible computers running Microsoft Windows.

In 1985, Jobs was forced out of Apple by the company’s board of directors, but he returned to the company in 1997. Under his leadership, Apple introduced the iMac, the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad, which helped make Apple one of the most valuable companies in the world.

Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003, and he stepped down as CEO of Apple in 2011, just months before his death. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential figures in the technology industry, and his legacy continues to shape the way we use technology today.
