How To Be Happy – The Top 10 Habits of Happy People

It doesn’t necessarily have to entail major and dramatic changes to transform your life – even the small things just matter. I’m going to share 10 quick and easy habits that have changed my life, and hopefully, they will help you as well. Just keep ongoing if you are interested! Hi, hello, hello! Welcome back to a happier life in its entirety! Let’s get into the habits.

Number one: if you can start the day without appliances. I feel the way we start our morning has a huge effect on the rest of the day. I used to start my day with reading emails, updating the papers, reading Whatsapp texts, and comments from YouTube, and I felt like I began the day on a reactive note, and within the first 10 minutes, I was stressed out. But I’ve changed my strategy — I aim to start my day in the first hour without the gadgets. It’s not every day, I’m not flawless, but when I do this, I feel a lot happier, because there are things that you can do in the morning, such as yoga, reading a book, getting a cup of tea, going for a stroll. Small stuff that will support you with your emotional and physical wellbeing, and I think beginning the day on that good note makes such a huge difference. I feel a lot happier — I’m able to take on my day, and so I’m not as stressed out when I read those texts, read the news, as I would be if I had read them in the morning. How it happens is fascinating, but I agree there is a lot of benefit in beginning the day without electronics.

Number two: taking more activity breaks, not just exercise. Now, industrial culture has little to do with sitting. Do you know that the average office worker sits every day for between 10 to 15 hours – that’s a lot of sitting around! And the issue with so much sitting is that it increases your risk of some illnesses, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and many others. I will put a link in the summary so that you can learn more about it. You might be thinking now – oh, I exercise – does that mean that I can still get away with too much sitting? Yeah, exercising certainly helps, but if you’re stuck for very long stretches of time, you do have to walk, it’s still necessary to move. And what are you capable of doing? I work from home and used to wear house slippers at home, and I’ve found that I’m way so relaxed when I wear house slippers, and I don’t even walk around. But now, first thing in the morning, I started putting on walking shoes, and I wear them at home all day long. They’re a special pair just to wear at home because they’re clean, and I’ve found I’m walking around a lot more, I’m going to take a lot more breaks in motion. I feel less rigid because I am taking these movement breaks. I have a lot of stamina, and I have a lot more energy to exercise, which is very good for my fitness. Now, there are always different ways in which you can get a bit more movement during the day if you don’t work from home. In the summary, I have a lot of suggestions.

Number three: the brain drain is to be completed before bed. This is about people who have a tough time sleeping, including me. I’m not going to fall asleep right then, I’m not like my husband, he’s going to fall asleep 10 minutes later – I’m not. I like to overthink and it takes a while to relax because I’m worrying too much. And now what I’ve begun to do is do a little brain dump in front of the bed. I jot down all that’s on my mind, all kinds of lists of things to do. I do this while I get some tea in the evening, and I find that just writing down what is going on in my head makes it so much easier for me to sleep. I will sleep more comfortably, and more peacefully, and I really fail to get to sleep quickly on the days I don’t do this. So if you’re someone who has a tough time sleeping and you’re worrying too hard, check this out and see if it works for you.

Number four: every morning or evening, write a simplified, prioritized to-do list. In the evening, I like to do this because I feel that it fits well for me. Now I’m the sort of person who likes to have a to-do list – I don’t get much done if I don’t have a to-do list and I have no direction for my day. Now, I used to write a very long to-do list in the past with loads of stuff that were not prioritized – 10 to 15 objects. But I got distracted with two issues with that, and I ended up doing all the low priority things and I didn’t get anything important done. It just felt nice to take these low-priority products down. Not the easiest way to deal with a to-do list. I’m doing it a little bit better now. So I’m going to write down a list of three things – just three. So it’s very easy – three high-priority items, then in order of priority, I write them down. I know just what I need to do what’s necessary for this context, and I just concentrate on these three things. I’m going to make another list of three things after all three things are finished. By doing things this way, I find that I’m less stressed and that I’m still getting important things done.

Number five: it is to more frequently support your imagination – this may be monthly, weekly, regular – whatever works for you, and whatever artistic practice works for you. When you look at them, they still do something imaginative and get so much pleasure and happiness from it. But as teenagers, that’s not what We do. But I do agree that doing something new more frequently has a lot of benefits. It has certainly helped me alleviate my depression, and it just helps to add a lot of fun into my life. I have begun to support my imagination a lot more often this year. And I find out about digital art easily. I didn’t know that it really existed. I started to do that, and I had a great deal of fun. It’s a perfect place to discover new talents and to expend all of your current interests. I never did digital art before, and it really helped me realize how fun it can be in this class.

Number six: I used to sweep up my desk now, maybe once a week, once every two weeks, or sometimes once a month, and the problem was that the mess was only beginning to collect. I notice that it does not take long for me to tackle my desk space every day – it takes less than five minutes and the mess does not collect. There are two advantages to doing this – one is when I step into my office in the morning I find that it looks very very good, and I’m actually excited to sit there and get some work done. It used to feel a bit daunting before. Everywhere, there’s so much stuff-not absolutely perfect, but now it feels a lot better. And the second thing I think is really useful is at the end of the day by tidying up my desk, I’m signaling my workday to my brain is done -now it’s time to have some downtime. It is really, really hard to have the segregation between work and home when you work from home, and it all becomes a blur. So I believe that the easy routine of just sweeping up my desk space at the end of the day shows me that the business day is done – now it’s time to just rest.

Number seven: is to make a recipe that you have never made before every week or every month. I’m the kind of person who gets into a rut very easily when it comes to cooking, so I start doing the same kinds of stuff with similar recipes every week. Two issues with this – one, it’s tedious that every week I end up consuming the same types of foods, the range of nutrients is not that much. Currently, it’s a smart idea to try different recipes, so a simple habit I’ve developed is to try to cook new dishes more often, and by doing so, a) I’m not as dissatisfied with the food I’m consuming, and b) I’m actually able to get a lot more range of vegetables and nutrients throughout my diet.

Number eight: it’s not only about drinking water but also by eating the water intake to keep hydrated. Now, nearly every specialist is trying to advise you to drink more water—than staying hydrated is really necessary, and it really is. I notice I feel a lot more energetic on the days when I drink more water, and my digestive tract is much healthier. Now the problem about the ingestion of water – not only do you have to drink it in the form of drinks, by the meals you consume, but you should also even increase your consumption of water. And what are you capable of doing? The list goes on because you should get more soups, more smoothies, more fruits and vegetables that are very rich in water – stuff like cucumbers, onions, zucchini, watermelon, oranges. In the summary, I’m going to enter another list so that you have a list that offers hydrating fruits and vegetables. Now the value of making your diet water-through is that you absorb it a little bit better. There is also fiber in the diet and there are nutrients in the food, which allows you to hold the water a little bit longer.

Number nine: is to read books that assist you to obtain a new attitude or viewpoint. I agree that a lot of my viewpoints and mindsets have come from engaging with other people and my own experiences, but also from reading when it comes to perspectives and mindsets. Whenever I read a novel, even though it’s on a topic I’m already aware of, things I’m already knowledgeable about, I’ll still get a little bit of a new viewpoint whenever I read the book, and I think the beauty of reading loads of books is that it helps to open up your mind in different directions that I personally have not found content on the internet has been able to do. I guess it is what has most made me shift my views and mindsets. In the summary, I’m going to put a link to the books that I really enjoyed last year.

Number ten: with an attitude of appreciation, is to practice gratitude every day! Now I’m not going to worry about regular lists of thanks. I have tried them individually, and they didn’t work for me. I know that other people, they work very well. They just didn’t work for me. I want-to-do lists of appreciation once a month or once a quarter, but it’s not something I can keep up with every day, so I do gratitude in a slightly different way every day.
